Tim Roberts is an indie TTRPG games developer, based in Somerset England and the founder of Critical Kit which has both a UK and US website. Tim has been playing 5E D&D since the 1980s and started his gaming adventures with the Fighting Fantasy books.
Tim starting his writing career in flashing fiction and short stories, winning the Faber Academy QuickFic Prize, Kilburn Literary Flash Fiction Competition, 2015 and has also been featured in an issue of the Molotov Cocktail, Jan 2019.
In 2022, Tim successfully Kickstarted a solo-RPG, Be Like A Crow which was 5000% funded and since then two further expansions, Crowthulhu and A Fistful of Feathers have been released. All you need to play is a pen, paper or digital notebook and a standard deck of playing, although Tim did also create a complementing deck of playing cards.
Continuing with the solo-RPGs, D666 - which allows you to create your own terrifying dungeon of torment and build your reputation in the underworld, was published.
In addition, to the solo RPGs, Tim has published 5E one-shot adventures for D&D, which can be ran as stand-alone adventures or integrated into a home brew campaign, for the busy DM. These range from MacDeath - a murder mystery set in the Feywild, to High Stakes - a casino hesit on an aircraft and just for fun, a Yuletide Snowball Massacre, and many more ...
